These are a few quick short answers to address most common questions a customer might ask
nIAM is an easy Identity and Access management solution focusing on managing users access during joining and separation
If you want to manage your organization's identity and access approval chain and access repository or single sign-on (for web based application) then Yes you can run niam 100% from SaaS.
But if you want access provisioning and de-provisioning and reconciliation automatic, then you need other components of nIAM inside your datacenter.
nIAM has 3 components
- nIAM Cloud: nIAM Cloud component runs only 24x7 to give the customers the interface to interact with access related functionality e.g. request, approval and revocation and so on.
- nIB: nIAM Broker component to manage the communication between system/application with nIAM Cloud.
- nIA: nIAM Agent component which runs in the server to automate the provisioning and de-provisioning request.
nIA and nIB runs in the datacenter and only available for nIAM premium package.
nIAM license are based on User, Application, Systems and Nodes.
- User is any employee, partner or 3rd party works for the organization
- Application is an entity to composed of a group of resources to serve a defined services
- System can be a software, middleware, database, etc. which combinely serve as an Application
- Node is a server where a 'System' or 'OS' runs. nIA runs on the Node.
There is no implementation required for nIAM Basic and Advance package. These two packages are completely SaaS based, no implementation required. However, we can give consultancy to define the business flows.
Premium package requires nIB and nIA to be installed in the datacenter. nNur Inc. can implement the component for the customer, or provide necessary documentations and consultancy for self-deployment by the company employees.
For any case, the implementation charge for consultancy or implementation effort requires use-case study, discussion with customers and negotiations.
